Galway Bay Brewery — Born from the Weariness of the Irish Beer Scene

In 2009, a group of friends, tired of the Irish beer scene, decided to do something new: they opened The Oslo Bar in Salthill, Galway — one of the few Irish brewpubs at the time, overlooking the west coast of Ireland. They started with a simple setup and two beers that went straight from the tank to the taps. Over ten years and three moves later, the current location is in Oranmore, just outside Galway, with the space and freedom to expand and experiment.
