Information and Shipping
Shipments will be made on behalf of Maltese by Eshop Logistic Srl primarily through the courier Poste Italiane - Choose You service*
In case of theft or loss, Maltese commits to resend the product and, if it is unavailable and/or out of stock, offers an alternative with equivalent characteristics. The customer has the right not to accept the exchange and request the issuance of a credit note. It is important to read and follow the procedures for verifying goods and reporting any anomalies on the DDT for insurance purposes.
Shipping costs are fixed and amount to € 8.90, VAT included, in Italy.
For orders starting from € 79.00, VAT included, shipping costs are free.
For B2B customers and resellers, shipping costs will be calculated based on weight, shipping costs are free starting from € 299.00 + VAT.
Shipping methods and delivery times
Shipments are always insured and trackable online via tracking code sent via email or SMS.
Logistics primarily entrusts the goods to Poste Italiane on the same day for orders placed by 1:00 PM.
For orders placed after 1:00 PM, processing occurs on the next working day.
Shipping occurs in the main Italian locations within 24/72 working hours from handover to the courier based on the destination location and the receipt of the order.
In islands and remote locations, delivery times may be longer.
The courier provides a notice via email or SMS with tracking code to arrange the delivery.
Important: couriers do not deliver on Saturday and Sunday.
Storage
If the customer is unreachable multiple times at the indicated phone number, or if after agreeing on the delivery, the customer is not present, or if the delivery is made during the indicated hours and the customer is not present, the goods will be automatically placed in storage and all storage and redelivery costs will be charged to the customer. Please note that, in case of lack of communication from the customer, after 10 days of storage, the goods will be returned to Maltese.
To receive the goods, the customer must make a new payment for shipping costs (€ 8.90) which will be added to the storage fees (€ 6.00 + VAT).
What to do upon receipt of the goods
Check the integrity of the purchased products in the presence of the courier. In case there are any breakages, sign with a specific reservation (e.g., damaged package, wet, missing parcel, etc.) and write on the delivery note the extent of the damage (e.g., "n°1 broken bottle"). If the courier is in a hurry and does not want to wait for the verification, sign in any case with a specific reservation ("missing goods", "damaged goods", etc.).
We will promptly replace or refund any damaged goods.
The report of any damage must be made within 1 day of receiving the goods.
We also invite you to take photos in case you need to open a report for a damaged and/or missing package and send them to support@maltese.beer.
Packaging
The goods are shipped in sturdy cardboard boxes, complete with honeycomb separators for proper insertion, and are individually wrapped in a special protective glass and label paper.
The packaging we use has been custom-made for Maltese, with pressed triple-wall cardboard, rigid double-wall honeycomb, and overlapping flaps.
Payment methods
On maltese.beer you can pay with credit cards (Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, American Express, PostePay), PayPal, Google Pay, Satispay, Klarna, Amazon Pay)
Important: transportation costs are for the standard service, any additional service (e.g., handling, storage, etc.) is the responsibility of the customer (for costs refer to the Carrier).
Standard delivery times are not binding on the couriers; in case of emergencies and needs, please contact us before placing the order.
During the Christmas period, in case of national or category strikes, natural and sudden events the indicated timings are not guaranteed.
* Choose You is the service from Poste Italiane that allows you to modify the delivery details of your shipment "on the fly" so that you can receive it wherever you are, even when you have a last-minute change of plans.
Poste will send an email notification containing the expected delivery date (or the time frame in which the delivery will be made) and a link through which you can access the service. In particular, with Choose You, you can request:
- to change the delivery date
- delivery to another address
- pickup at a post office, a Punto Poste, or a Locker (*allowed for only one package)
You can customize the delivery only once per shipment, choosing only one of the available options.
Registration is not required, but if you want, you can log in using your poste.it credentials or register on the poste.it site. Otherwise, you can still use the Poste service by accessing as a guest.
You have time until the moment the delivery person has left for the delivery round, as long as they have not yet made the first delivery attempt of your shipment.
It is not possible to cancel a modification request after confirming it. Therefore, please verify the accuracy of the entered data before proceeding with the confirmation.
