Shire Brewing

A brewery that can boast the Emerging Brewer 2022, which is already among the
first 20 candidates for the title of Brewer of the Year 2023. Not bad, huh?
Shire Brewing is a unique reality, among other things, because rarely –
perhaps never – has a producer landed on the Italian market with three styles
of classic inspiration British. Even more unique and immediate is the result:
Ecbert, Macclesfield, and Spancil Hill are among the best Bitter, Mild, and Stout produced
to date in Italy. And we’re not just saying this at Maltese. There are many other
labels from the Lazio brand, which mainly dedicates its range to the
styles of the traditional brewing schools. In fact, even in bottom fermentation
Mirko Giorgi shows passion and talent, whether it’s about Germany or the
Czech Republic. Even his first IPA is inspired by the American world, but
above all by the hoppy Californian beers from 20-30 years ago, to what is now
defined as “Old School”.
One of the most promising realities in our Italian brewing scene!
