The Verbeeck - Back brewery has existed since the end of the 19th century, when it became one of the most beloved independent breweries in Flanders.
A brewery that was, is, and remains a family affair: no monks or large companies in sight. The secrets of its successes have been passed down from father to son until they themselves became fathers... and so on. However, the children of the 1960s generation had other plans. In 1966, the brewery fell into a brief slumber. Until 2015, when the brewery awoke in a new location, led by a new willing generation. The lineage of the Verbeeck-Back family was strengthened by the De Cock family. Together, they formed the formidable name, with a reassuring Belgian sound, Verbeeck - Back - De Cock. VBDCK. This new generation of VBDCK heirs to the family tradition of quality and Belgian craftsmanship has literally dug into the history of its roots. They have shattered the nostalgic silence with Kerel, the beer that is a true resurrection.
