Simply for the desire of true pleasure. And because we have a clear idea of what an exceptional beer must have: character. We gladly leave mass-produced inferior beer to industrial productions. We don’t bend for a few extra hectoliters. On the contrary. We are a proud, not-so-small private brewery from Northern Franconia. For centuries, we have been at home in the Wunderburg district of Bamberg. Since 1895, this brewery has been owned by our family. We are deeply rooted in the region. Today, as then, bound by the Bavarian Beer Purity Law of 1516 regulating beer production. Happy with our success, yet always aware of our responsibility. Because we trust in our ancient craft, we have a clear mind for today’s challenges, looking to the future with curiosity and many new ideas. Because the art of the master brewer, the most modern techniques, and here and there a surprise all harmonize wonderfully at Mahrs.
