Founded in 2014 and operating since the following year, the Porta Bruciata brewery takes its name from a medieval tower in Brescia, the city of the founding partners. At the same time, it is a reference to the territory, but also a symbol of openness to the outside: from that ancient gate, people went towards Milan, towards the west, towards the West!
A gate that almost magically survived a fire that devastated the city in 1184. Hence the evocative name: the gate is burned, but it remained, while everything else disappeared. Over the centuries, historical and legendary figures passed under this gate, traveling to mysterious places.
Today, the brewery offers beers that carry the scents of distant lands, but at the same time know how to welcome with the familiarity and simplicity of home. A state-of-the-art brewhouse, a cellar always evolving, technology at the service of the irreplaceable creativity of the brewer. Innovative techniques and centuries-old traditions intertwine in the daily life of a brewery that, step by step, has carved out an important space in the Italian craft beer world.
