Women taste better than men

The stereotype of a Sommelier is certainly less lady-like and more gentlemanly, but many studies have tried to prove that women are, on average, advantaged compared to men when it comes to tasting. Spoiler: some have succeeded. In the beer world, we have many examples of female excellence, both Italian and international, such as Stefania Pompele and Mirella Amato. Certainly, their talent, which cannot be said to be innate, has been combined with a lot of study and many experiences that have made these and other women true “sacred monsters” of tasting (often not only beer tasting). This article explains one of the reasons why women often have an edge in tasting.
