In just two years, Maltese.beer has become a reference point for those who love craft beer and for those discovering it for the first time. In Italy, as well as in France and Spain, where we have been active for some time, more and more people have started approaching the craft world with curiosity and a desire to learn.
Craft beer online is no longer just a niche for enthusiasts: on Maltese, thanks to simple language, an intuitive interface, and a smooth shopping experience, anyone can find the perfect beer for themselves. You don’t need to be an expert: tools like Identibeer, our innovative AI-based tool, help discover the beers best suited to your tastes, while the Beer Sommelier Online offers the unique opportunity to book a video call with an expert and explore the brewing world in a personalized and interactive way.
An innovative approach that is changing the way craft beer is chosen and experienced.
New beers, new frontiers of taste
In these two years Maltese has grown, and with it our selection of craft beers has expanded. In recent months we have broadened the offer with low alcohol and alcohol-free beers, perfect for those looking for tasty but light drinks to enjoy at any time of day.
We have also opened the doors to other worlds linked to the large family of fermented products, such as Kombucha and Water Kefir, products that combine wellness and pleasure, maintaining the craftsmanship and care for ingredients that characterize Maltese’s philosophy.
Among the most curious and anticipated novelties is a historic debut: the first cans ever produced by a Trappist brewery. The famous Chimay, a Belgian icon, has launched canned versions of its Dorée, Rouge, and Triple beers — available immediately on Maltese — surprising even purists with intact quality and modern convenience.
And more: after two years of regional explorations, we are excited to welcome the first brewery from Molise to our Maltese selection. From Filignano, in the heart of the Molise Apennines, come the beers of Birra Kashmir, an authentic expression of a rugged but generous territory, which is gaining a prominent place on the Italian craft beer map.
Innovation and future: Maltese between GDO and cryptocurrency payments
If there is one aspect that has always distinguished Maltese, it is the desire to innovate and bring craft beer ever closer to people. In recent months we have taken two important steps in this direction, combining tradition, technology, and accessibility.
The first big news is the partnership between Maltese and Iper La Grande i, thanks to which craft beer has finally arrived in GDO with a solid and authentic project. For the first time, customers at some Iper stores can find Maltese branded shelves, curated directly by our team, which handles the selection, rotation, and promotion of the best local breweries. A new way to bring the general public closer to the quality and variety of craft beers, with an offer that keeps a strong connection to the territory and independent producers.

The second novelty is entirely digital: from September 2025 on Maltese.beer it will be possible to pay also with cryptocurrencies and stablecoins. A choice that confirms our commitment to innovation and freedom of choice, offering our customers a modern shopping experience in step with the times. Whether Bitcoin, Ethereum, or stablecoins, crypto payments open the door to a new generation of digital beer lovers and represent a further step forward in our mission to make craft beer more accessible, without borders.

Autumn, Black Friday, and Christmas: the most sparkling time of the year
Autumn has always been a crucial season for the craft world, and for us at Maltese it represents the beating heart of the year. It starts with Black Friday, which this year promises surprises and record promotions (but we don’t want to spoil the surprise…), and continues with the Advent period and the Christmas holidays.
The absolute protagonist of these weeks is our Beer Christmas 2025, the Advent calendar with 24 craft beers selected among the best Italian and international labels. Every day a different beer to discover and taste while waiting for Christmas: a unique experience that is already selling out and guarantees an unforgettable tasting journey.
And, as tradition dictates, Maltese will not miss the Christmas beers produced especially for the holidays by Belgian and Italian breweries, along with many sweet and gourmet specialties — from beer panettones to gift packages perfect for surprising friends and family. In short, we are ready to end the year in the tastiest and most fun way possible.
Two years of Maltese: a toast to the future
Two years may seem few, but for us they represent a journey full of discoveries, meetings, and shared beers. We have built a community of curious and passionate beer lovers, and every day we continue to grow together with you, driven by the desire to bring craftsmanship and beer culture to an ever wider audience.
2026 will be a year full of news, new breweries, and even more ambitious projects — but for now we want to toast these first two wonderful years of Maltese.
Don’t miss the Beer Christmas 2025, now available on maltese.beer, and stay connected to our channels to discover all the Black Friday promos, the Christmas beers, and the upcoming new arrivals.
