In 1988, mathematics professor Jeff Van Den Steen and lawyer Dirk De Pauw met in Erpe-Mère, discovering a shared passion for homebrewing. From there began an extraordinary journey: years of increasingly informed experiments, technical studies completed in 1994, and another ten years of comprehensive research before opening the brewery. A rare patience and dedication that can be felt in every bottle.
