Pühaste — From a Summer Cottage in an Estonian Village to the Brewery in Tartu

The origins of Pühaste date back to 2011, when Eero, the founding brewmaster, brewed his first craft beers in the summer cottage of the village of Pühaste, in Valga County, Estonia. The test beers immediately sparked great enthusiasm among friends and enthusiasts.

The activity as a gipsy brewer received excellent feedback from an ever-growing community of craft beer experts, both in Estonia and abroad. On September 10, 2016, Pühaste opened its own brewery in Tartu — Estonia’s university and cultural city — turning a passion born in a cottage into an internationally recognized project.
