Tasting profile

Dark brown, almost black, with ruby highlights and a creamy hazelnut-coloured head. On the nose, it opens with a fascinating contrast: on one side, the sweet, enveloping notes of caramel, toffee and cherry typical of English tradition; on the other, the hoppy bursts of resin and citrus that evoke the modern spirit of Baby-Faced Assassin. On the palate, the opening is rounded and structured, with a pronounced dark malt character. The bitterness is assertive — IBU 52 — yet balanced by the sweetness of caramel and the juiciness of cherry. The finish is long, dry and resinous, with a pleasantly surprising complexity.
