Purple Twist

Purple Twist is the berry fruit cider by Apple Blood: like all their ciders, it is made from apples grown directly in the producer's fields. Bottled in 33cl — best served well chilled between 6 and 8°C.

The base is the 2022 harvest of Renetta Canada and Granny Smith, two early table varieties with a good sugar content and malic acid. After the first fermentation in steel, comes the twist: blackberries and blueberries are added and left to macerate for four weeks, giving the cider an intense purple color and an aromatic profile rich in dark fruit, natural acidity, and an elegant sweetness that is never cloying. Gluten free.

Perfect as an aperitif, paired with blue cheeses, red fruit desserts, and dark chocolate.
