Sex a Pils — Pilsner

Sex a Pils — Pilsner | Birra Amiata, Arcidosso (GR)

Born from a collaboration with Nicola “Nix” Grande. The name says it all.

Sex a Pils is the Pilsner from Tuscan brewery Birra Amiata: born from a successful collaboration with renowned publican and beer taster Nicola “Nix” Grande, its name features an ironic and effective play on words combining provocation with a stylistic reference. Classic in spirit, precise in execution. Golden and fresh, with hops taking center stage both for bitterness and aroma — the informal aperitivo Pils from Monte Amiata.

Sensory profile

Golden and clear, with a fine, persistent white head. Delicate white flowers and fresh herbal notes typical of Pils hops on the nose. On the palate, it opens with a touch of bread and cereal from light, delicate malts, quickly giving way to a well-defined floral and herbal hop note. The bitterness is clean, at 30 IBU, present and distinctive without ever becoming aggressive. A dry, refreshing finish, with lively carbonation that invites the next sip.

• Style: Pilsner
• ABV: 4.7% ABV
• Color: Golden
• Dominant sensations: Bread — Cereal — Floral
• Ideal occasion: Informal aperitivo
