The Blonde Affair
The Blonde Affair — Munich Helles | Birra Amiata, Arcidosso (GR)
From the sharp Sex a Pils to the rounded Bavarian tradition. Another affair not to be missed.
The Blonde Affair is the Munich Helles from the Tuscan brewery Birra Amiata: where Sex a Pils is sharp and hoppy, this beer moves toward the roundness and exceptional drinkability of the Bavarian tradition. Brewed with Pilsner malt and a small percentage of Carahell malt, it is a classic blonde Lager, balanced, with a light, dry body on the palate. The perfect companion for any occasion.
Tasting profile
Clear straw yellow, with a fine, compact white head. On the nose, the aromatic profile is entirely driven by the malt: warm notes of sweet cereal, millefleurs honey, and fragrant bread crust, with delicate herbal and floral brushstrokes from the classic German hops in the background. On the palate, the first sensation is malted softness: honey and cereal sweetness, well balanced by a dry, clean finish. Compared with a Pilsner, it is less bitter, rounder, and incredibly smooth-drinking. IBU 16 — barely perceptible bitterness, never intrusive.
- Style: Munich Helles
- ABV: 4.9% ABV
- Color: Straw yellow
- Malts: Pilsner + Carahell
- Dominant sensations: Honey — Cereal
