Wadesda No. 9
Wadesda NR. 9 — Tripel Saison — Brasserie de la Senne x Cantillon
Wadesda NR. 9 is a beer entirely from Brussels, born from the collaboration between the two most famous breweries in the Belgian capital: Brasserie de la Senne and Brasserie Cantillon. The first version of Wadesda was created in 2008 and now returns to the market in limited quantity: it is a blend of Jambe de Bois — the Tripel from Brasserie de la Senne — and Cantillon Lambic. An amber-colored beer that captures and blends the fruity, spicy, and wild traits of the two styles, resembling an ancient Saison. For this reason, the two breweries use the term “Tripel Saison”: a definition born from the mix of alcohol strength and rusticity of this unique beer.
Two Brussels legends in one blend
Brasserie de la Senne brings its Jambe de Bois, a hoppy and dry Tripel with a strong character. Cantillon brings its Lambic, a wild and sour spontaneous fermentation. The blend merges the two worlds: the alcoholic structure of the Tripel with the wild complexity of the Lambic, resulting in a beer reminiscent of the old rural Belgian Saisons — rustic, complex, and unique.
